Special Educational Needs and Inclusion

Little Grubs Kindergarten has experience supporting children with a range of additional needs, including communication and interaction needs, speech and language delay, sensory processing differences, social and emotional needs, and emerging neurodiversity. As a small, relational setting with consistent staffing and small group sizes, we are able to provide a calm and nurturing environment alongside personalised support strategies, visual aids, adapted routines, and close partnership working with families and external professionals where needed.

Our SENDCo works closely with parents, the Local Authority, and outside agencies to develop tailored support plans and reasonable adjustments to help children access our unique outdoor curriculum. Due to the nature of our woodland-based, movement-rich environment, we encourage families to visit the setting and discuss their child’s individual needs with us so that we can carefully consider together whether Little Grubs is the right fit and what adjustments may be possible to support safe and successful inclusion.
